Nursing & Midwifery Council Consultation
Dear Colleagues,
Please find attached the slide presentation that has been prepared following the 5th October NMC consultation workshop and Directors of Nursing meeting held on November 16th. I have also attached the consultation documents and supplementary information. Please circulate these as you wish.
The DH consultation for the Post Graduate Framework ends on February 15th 2008 and the NMC consultation for Pre Registration Education ends on February 8th 2008 . It was agreed that the East of England SHA would submit a collective response that reflects the range of comments and responses received, the submission will not therefore present a consensus view. Individual organisations may of course wish to submit comments independently of the SHA. If you wish to submit feedback for an East of England response please can you send these to me by January 21st 2008
A follow up consultation event will be organised in the early spring. Meanwhile the feedback that has been gathered so far from the October workshop, the November Directors of Nursing Meeting, data collection and the commissioning feedback from individuals will be used in the context of the consultation to inform the current commissioning of post graduate programmes for 2008/09.
