This course explores the different ways in which disabled children communicate and strategies for ensuring the involvement of disabled children in every aspect of their lives.

Participants will:

Understand the legislation and guidance relevant to the participation of disabled children
Develop knowledge and awareness of the different ways in which disabled children communicate
Examine strategies and ways in which professionals can work to ensure that the views of children are taken into account in all decisions affecting their lives
Develop an action plan to change local practice.
