Following the success of the Investing in Teenage Health conference in January 2009, a regional one-day workshop is available to share the learning and good practice from the Teenage Health Demonstration Sites. This event has been launched by the Department of Health, in conjunction with the Association of Young People’s Health. The day will feature valuable workshop sessions, in addition to key note speakers, and will give practical advice and information about developing and extending services in your area.

As part of the project top share the learning from the site AYPH is developing a series of briefing papers which explore 6 key principles of delivering health services to young people, all of which will be explored during the events:

  • Involving young people in the development of services
  • Making our health services more accessible
  • Taking health services for young people into the community
  • Ensuring health services reach all young people
  • Building strategic partnerships to improve young people’s health
  • How to plan health services for young people in your area

The event takes place in three key locations on different dates:

Bristol Wednesday 3 February 2010
London Friday 26 February 2010
Leeds Wednesday 3 March 2010

The programme of the day is attached, and places are still available from £35 per person, including all lunch and refreshments.
