Aim

To enable participants to improve their knowledge and skills in working more effectively with children and young people who may be at risk of sexual exploitation.

This course is for a range of professionals who may work or come into contact with vulnerable young people.

Objectives

By the end of the training participants will have:

- Improved their understanding and awareness of child sexual exploitation and associated legislation.
- Identified the risk factors that can leave young people vulnerable to an increased risk of involvement in sexual exploitation.
- Identified models of grooming and the potential negative impact this has on
children & young people.

Outcome

Staff will feel more confident in identifying high-risk behaviour around children and young people who may be at risk of being exploited and of implementing strategies, which further support young people.
