A brand new event dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people in early learning, primary, secondary, specialist, higher and further education.
The Conference
It is clear that there are strong links between health, wellbeing and achievement. Improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people will provide them with firm foundations for later life. The Government has clearly recognised this, with extensive investment in new strategies that enhance the role of schools as the centre of their communities, and the requirement of the NHS and local authorities to work together to target the whole school community.
What is unique about Health and Wellbeing in Education is the bringing together of healthcare and education professionals in order to achieve the challenges ahead. The event will encompass early years right through to further education, and mainstream through to special education. It will play an integral role in enabling children, young people and their families to maintain healthy lifestyles. The launch of Health and Wellbeing in Education could not be more timely.
