Children and young people's rights at the doctor: a poster
Posted January 26th, 2009 by Administrator
Young people from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have
designed a poster to help other young people be aware of their rights when
visiting a doctor. The project was coordinated by NCB and funded by the
General Medical Council (GMC).
To develop the poster, the group pulled out key messages from the GMC's
guidance for doctors, on issues including:
- Confidentiality
- Seeing the doctor alone
- Being treated with respect
The poster is designed to be displayed in schools, youth clubs, secure
settings etc.
The A2 poster is available free of charge from Liz Zachary at: lzachary@ncb.org.uk
A4 versions can also be downloaded from www.ncb.org.uk and www.gmc-uk.org/children
