Working Together: To Safeguard Society’s Marginalised Children & Young People

This is the fourth national safeguarding conference and the event will be chaired by Dr Sheila Shribman, National Clinical Director for Children, Young People and Maternity Services and will include plenary sessions and seminars on the following topics:
- Voice of the Child
- Looked After Children
- Children and Sexual Exploitation
- Trafficking/Immigration
- Post Abuse Work
- Asylum Seekers/Refugees
- Homelessness
- Children with complex disabilities - communication
The conference will address key areas of work currently of high priority and we aim to share information about national developments in policy and the research and evidence base, and then to consider the opportunities and challenges for their implementation locally. We will also be organising a Best Practice Market Place inviting all regions to take part and exhibit examples of good practice or work in progress.
