Puberty and Sexuality for Young People with Learning Disabilities

I would like to take this opportunity to notify you of the forthcoming
Free conference which is taking place in Leeds on Wednesday 11th
February 2009.

NHS Leeds is delighted to be hosting this unique event, the conference
is open to everyone working with young people with learning disabilities
in England.

The conference will launch a new resource developed by NHS Leeds
Children’s Learning Disability Nursing Team, which was presented with
the Nursing Times Innovation Practice in Sexual Health Award in 2006.
All participants will receive a FREE copy of the pack.

Key speakers will provide an overview of the importance of developing
more work in this field. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear
from young people with learning disabilities about their perspectives on
issues of puberty and sexuality and will also be able to attend
workshops focussing on the application of the new resource.
