The Department for Children, Schools and Families & the Department of Health have asked OPM to carry out an independent review of Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Children and young people who become part of the network will receive a £25 gift voucher as a thankyou.

To enable this, a web forum has been set up that will allow children and young people (who have filled in an application form and given their own consent /parental consent if under 16) to discuss their own experiences and views, not only about emotional well-being in general but also how mental health services for people their own age can be improved.

On the web forum, we will be inviting them to think about issues such as:

  • What does ‘feeling good inside’ mean to you?
  • What’s a good day?
  • What helps you feel better when you’re having a bad day?
  • How can people know if someone your age are in difficulties and need support?
  • If you have ever used a mental health service, is there anything you would change about it to make it better?
  • If you could design a mental health service for children and young people
    what would it look like?

In order for children and young people to join the web forum network, they
need to read the invitation and fill out the application form and the (parental) consent form.
